Homework
Homework reinforces what is learned at school and instills good work habits. Assignments are generally begun in class, which means students should always know the directions of their assignments when working on them at home.
Children should work on written homework for no more than 45 minutes each night, Monday through Thursday. They should also read for 20-30 minutes each night.
Our class does not have homework on weekends (except every once in a while for big class projects/reports), so that students have time to spend with family and friends.
If you feel that your child is spending too much or too little time on their assignments, please let me know so I can work with your child toward a solution. Please work with your child to stay on top of long-term projects.
