For the last past thirteen years Chico Unified School District has provided a thematic Fine Arts Program for all

elementary students. The lessons which are written by the staff of Fine Arts Specialists include a half-day and

incorporate music, art, drama and dance in the lessons. You can see some of the art work of Chapman

The Chapman School Music Program includes classroom music and band. The Standards and Benchmarks

adopted by Chico Unified School District are the basis for the lessons. As the Music Educator's National

Conference advises, music is taught in a manner to encourage elementary students with the hope that they will

enjoy music all their lives. Janet Finley is the Music Specialist at Chapman.
